McLean, Va.–Started at Anderson Rd. in Tysons. Buildings under construction at the corner of Chain Bridge Rd. Heading down Chain Bridge, here’s a handsome newer residential condo building (Morgan at McLean – built 2007). Continuing down Chain Bridge, here is McLean Ridge, an area of nice newer townhomes (still in Tysons). It might not be considered quite a TND, with (see this side street) garages facing the street across from the front of homes. This bozo (whose house straddles the complex and a separate side street) was trying to get his house blocked from view, but it can be seen from this side (ha ha).
Heading into McLean (after passing under Dulles Tollway), this fancy neighborhood hasn’t been “streetviewed” as it is gated. Here’s another community of handsome townhomes (which is not gated but Google hasn’t driven down). Heading down Davidson Rd., here’s a pedestrian footbridge. Located at the end of Davidson is McLean High School (nothing special architecture-wise). Continuing back on Chain Bridge, here is an interesting pedestrian entrance to a little complex. The side/back of the building is different than what you’d expect.
